Real BBQ. Small Batches.

Cold Smoke BBQ is a licensed home kitchen operation running out of the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego. No restaurant, no shortcuts. Just whole ingredients, real wood smoke, and food made the way it's supposed to be.

Every drop is small by design. Our MEHKO permit limits how many meals we can sell per event, which means every order gets personal attention and nothing gets rushed. When it's gone, it's gone.

If you've ever wanted BBQ that actually tastes like someone cared about it, this is it.

About Cold Smoke BBQ

Licensed Home Kitchen

What is a MEHKO?

Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operation

Cold Smoke BBQ operates under a Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operation (MEHKO) permit — a state-licensed program that allows small food businesses to prepare and sell food legally out of a home kitchen.

Our kitchen is inspected and permitted by the local health department, meaning the food you're getting is prepared under the same regulatory oversight as a brick-and-mortar restaurant — just with a lot more love and a lot less overhead.

Because of permit limits on the number of meals per event, every drop is genuinely limited. That's not a marketing line — it's the law. When spots are gone, they're gone.
